Eric Adams was born in Indiana on Sept. 19, 1928, and passed away peacefully on February 19, 2022, with family beside him. He was preceded in death by his first wife Betty Colleen Smith and his second wife Marilyn Davison Adams. He is survived by 1 sibling, 5 children, and 14 grandchildren.

Eric moved from Indiana to Detroit to find work. He was a handyman and a hard worker. He could often find out the problem and then devise something to fix it. He enjoyed gardening and could take a cut of a rose and start a new plant. He loved hunting and traveled often to the UP to hunt whitetail deer with the oldest of his sons and grandsons. He enjoyed fishing and spent time with his second son, often in the boat catching fish. He loved to tinker and help other people. He fixed bicycles and made sure neighbors and friends had a bicycle to ride. He invested time and effort in Christian Service Brigade striving to make young boys into men Bright and Keen for Christ. Many congregations in the Detroit area benefited from his zeal and enthusiasm. As the Bible says, "this mortality will be swallowed up by LIFE." He now enjoys what he was designed to be as a child of God. His ashes will be interred at the Flat Rock Baptist Church where many of his family are buried.
