Riley, Emma Charlotte Atwater, 77 of Dade City, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 1, 2012. She was born February 21, 1935 in Dade City to George H. & Gertrude Boykin Atwater and was a lifelong area resident. She graduated from Pasco High School and married Derral Wayne Riley on September 27, 1953. As a United States Air Force family, they lived in many different parts of the United States and also spent time in Germany. She worked at Ottos Department Store, Hodges Family Funeral Home and Westerfields Accounting for over 30 tax seasons. She was a longtime, faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Dade City. She is survived by her children: Pamela & Francis Greif, San Antonio, FL, George W. Riley, Dade City, FL; granddaughter: Stephanie G. Polk, Dade City, FL; great grandchildren: Cauy T. Polk, Carly A. Polk; and many loving cousins and sisters and brothers in Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband: Derral Wayne Riley; 1 daughter: Susan Gail Riley; sister: Betty Sue Atwater; and her parents: George & Gertrude Atwater. Funeral services will be held 10am Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at the First Baptist Church of Dade City. The family will receive friends for viewing from 5-7pm Tuesday evening at the 5th Street Chapel of Hodges Family Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Gardens. The family request donations in her memory to Gulfside Regional Hospice.
