IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Elliot Bernard
Ashkenase
October 19, 1936 – July 4, 2025
Elliot Bernard Ashkenase, 88, passed away peacefully on July 4. 2025, at Gulfside Hospice in Zephyrhills, Florida, surrounded by family.
Born in Manhattan, New York on October 19, 1936, Elliot lived a full life defined by dedication to his family, his work and his many interests. He spent three decades with Roma Industries in Largo, Florida, where he served as Vice President of operations before retiring.
Elliot was a person who found joy in simple pleasures, spending weekends going to garage sales and happily losing track of time tinkering in his beloved garage oasis, surrounded by his well-organized collections of tools. He was a true collector of unique treasures, accumulating quite a collection over the years.
He is survived by his sons: David Ashkenase and his wife Wendy of Wesley Chapel, Florida and Jonathan Ashkenase and his wife Judit of Erie, Colorado. Devoted Grandfather to 12 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 62 years Roberta "Bobbie" Ashkenase and his parents Charles and Nettie Ashkenase.
If there was a list of "The World's Most Interesting Men", he would surely be on that list. Elliot's unique sense of humor, generous spirit and the love for his family and friends will be remembered always. His Legacy lives in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
In Lieu of flowers, Elliot has asked to consider donating to American Cancer Society.
No celebration of life is planned at this time.
