Ellen Elizabeth McCumber Loureiro-Stevens, 82, of Zephyrhills, passed away peacefully on June 2, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born on October 15, 1943, in Hudson, MA, Ellen lived a life rooted in faith, family, and compassion. She was a woman of remarkable strength, kindness, and generosity whose loving spirit touched everyone fortunate enough to know her. Her heart was always open to others, and she found great joy in caring for her family and creating lasting memories with those she loved most.
Ellen was the daughter of Doris Marini and Raymond McCumber, beloved wife of Raymond James Stevens and a devoted mother to Anthony Loureiro, Tina Flannery, and
Thomas Loureiro. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Natalie Loureiro, Anthony Loureiro, Samantha Flannery, Gabrielle Flannery, Nicolas Loureiro, Emma Flannery, Lucy Loureiro, And Ella Loureiro. She was also blessed to be a great-grandmother to Shields Michael Harrell, who brought her immense joy.
A faithful member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Ellen's faith was an important part of her life and guided her with grace and purpose. She cherished time spent cruising or at the beach, where she found peace and happiness, and nothing meant more to her than being surrounded by her family and friends. Her warmth, laughter, and unconditional love made every gathering brighter and every moment together more meaningful.
Those who knew Ellen will remember her as an amazing woman with a truly big heart. She had a special gift for making people feel welcomed, valued, and loved. Her legacy of kindness, faith, and devotion to family will continue to live on through the many lives she touched.
A Mass celebrating Ellen's life will be held on June 16, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Though her family grieves her loss, they take comfort in the countless memories she leaves behind and in the love that will forever remain in their hearts.
