Obituary

Elizabeth Landrum Williams 84 of Dade City, FL passed away on Thursday, Nov. 7, 2019 at her residence. She was born in Augusta, GA to Curtis Franklin and Effie Grace (Means) Landrum. She grew up and attended schools in the Augusta area, during her early years of high school she met a young man that she immediately knew would be the love of her life, Mr. Ernest Williams and they were married on Dec., 20, 1953. They remained in the Augusta area while he served his country in the US Army and began their family. In Sept. of 1962, after the birth of their third child and after Ernest completed his service with the US Army they moved to Mt. Dora, FL and remained there until 1967, when they moved to Dade City. She immediately started volunteering at Pasco Elementary which later became a full time career that extended for over 35 years with the Pasco County Education System. She and her family were members and extremely active at Calvary Assembly of God church. Later in life she and Ernest become members of the First Baptist Church of Dade City. They immediately joined the Prime Timers Senior Adult Ministry and began to form some true friendships. They both enjoyed the many events and looked forward to spending time with those friends. Lizs servant heart lead her to take the lead as the director of the Miss Heart Pageant affiliated with the Pasco County Fair Association and served in that capacity for many years. She so enjoyed cooking for others and constantly offered to prepare a large homemade meals for her entire family or a covered dish to share at a special occasion.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years Ernest on August 25, 2018, her parents, sisters Juliette Grimaud, Charlotte Landrum and brother Frank Landrum. She is survived by her family; Wendell & Kitty Williams of North Fort Myers, FL, Joy & Duane Causey, Keith Williams, Tammy & Dennis Butler all of Dade City. Grandchildren Brian & Janelle Williams, Ashley Knoof, Amy & Robby Pruett, Anna Causey & Carlos Teissonniere, Kayla & Devin Heimes, Carla & Kyle Dickey, Nicci Butler and Strait Butler & Cortney Rogers. Great, Grandchildren Karsen Williams, Tate Williams, Teagan Knoof, Chase Pruett, Blake Pruett, Brayton Heimes and Cooper Heimes. Her family will receive friends on Thursday, Nov. 14, 2019 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the First Baptist Church of Dade City, 37511 Church Ave. where a funeral service will take place on Friday, Nov. 15 at 10:00 am, followed by the committal & interment service at 12:30 pm at Florida National Cemetery, where shell be laid to rest with her husband.
