Elizabeth Jane Micka passed away quietly Saturday morning, December 5, 2020. Elizabeth was born in Philadelphia, Pa. She is preceded by her husband of 60 years, Albert, and her parents Samuel and Doris McAlpin and her brother Samuel McAlpin. Elizabeth was survived by her five children, Susan Tillett, Barbara Klein (Mark), Julia Wilkinson, Mary Ann Micka and Steven Micka; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. As a child, Elizabeth contracted polio, she never let that lifelong affliction, or physical limitations to impair the quality of her life. As a military wife, Elizabeth took advantage of her husband's overseas assignments where she camped throughout Europe ensuring her children were exposed to the culture and history. Elizabeth spent her final years at John Knox retirement community where she dedicated herself volunteering activities and was active in the Church. She will be truly missed by all who knew her. There will be a memorial service on Thursday December 10th, at 10 am at Christ the King Catholic Church in Tampa. Burial will be held at Florida National Cemetery on Friday December 11th at 2:30pm.Arrangements By Hodges Family Funeral Home 54 Chapel, Zephyrhills, FL.
