Obituary

Elizabeth Jane Dunn (Saunders) Kelly Deceased Nov. 26th, 2017. Born on July 11, 1931 to William and Edria (Hand) Dunn in Norwich, NYPredeceased in death by her parents, Husband Glenn F. Kelly, Brothers William (Bill) and Robert (Bob) Dunn, Sons Scott (infant), Steven and his wife Debbie (Patton) Saunders, nephew Michael (Mike) and niece Bridgett (Missy) Dunn, nephew Robert (Bobby) Smith. Ms. Kelly passed away early Sunday morning with family at her side. She will be sadly missed by everyone who knew her. She resided at the VA in Tampa for the last few years and just recently went back into hospice prior to passing. She was loved and so very well taken care of at the VA that we cannot thank them enough! After graduating with Honors from Norwich High School she joined the Air Force and was ever so proud to have served in the Military like her father whom she adored. She had endless stories about her time in the pentagon and loved her job as decoder during the Korean War. While serving she got married and started her family. As life changed and she had to become a single parent she found her choice job at Sears and Roebucks in the Catalog dept. for many years. Love found her again and she married her child hood friend, Glenn. When she had little to give we thought we had the world because her love was bigger than she was. Soon she was able to retire and become a homemaker. They built houses and worked hard until his death in 2006. Ms. Kelly moved in with her daughter and son in law, Susan and Barry, until she required more care. The VA took over and gave her the best care she could have ever received and we truly thank them from the bottom of our Hearts! Survived by her daughters, Susan (Barry) Yardy, Sandra (Ewan) McMurchie and Sharon Anderson, Sister, Irene Smith, Brother Tom (Ellie) Dunn, 9 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, extended VA family and numerous friends. She will be laid to rest with her husband, Glenn at the Florida National Cemetery during a private ceremony on Thursday, Nov. 30th.
