Elba Aldenna Connell died on Monday, September 11, 2017 at her home in Gainesville, FL. She was 99 years old, born in Dade City in 1918. She was a loving mother, sister, and grandmother. She was predeceased by her husband Elbert Connell, her son John Wayne Connell, sisters Carrie Mae Dawson, Lucille Parker, brothers: James B. McMillan Jr and Leon McMillan. She is survived by her daughters: Elba Jean & Vernon Riessen, Valree Connell; son: Harold & Winnie Connell; 2 sisters: Lois Cash and Rosa Lee Yates; 12 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren. Services will be held 12pm Noon, Sunday, September 24, 2017 at the 5th Street Chapel of Hodges Family Funeral Home. The family will greet friends one hour before services at the funeral home.
