Elaine Heines Stallworth, 84, of Zephyrhills, FL and former resident of New Port Richey, FL and Willow Grove, PA. passed away April 20, 2016. Born in Carbondale, PA on September 7, 1931, she was the daughter of the late William and Mary Heines. As a graduate student and Fulbright Scholar, Elaine toured Europe and learned to speak French fluently. She was an avid reader, and the author of numerous articles for magazines such as The New Yorker. Elaine enjoyed gardening, swimming, and painting. She married Charles Stallworth on June 15, 1957, and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by three children, Eric (Tracy) of San Antonio, FL, Brian (Michelle) of Colorado, and Catherine Cox of Pennsylvania; four grandchildren, Kara and Eric Katz, Evan and Lauren Stallworth; two great-grandchildren, Dianna and Damien; sisters Clara and Teresa, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 57 years, Charles, sisters Joan, Alice, and Pat, brothers William and Ford, and daughters Diana and Karen. Graveside service will be held at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, with date to be announced. Hodges Family Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
