Elaine C. (Strausser) Smith, 67, of Zephyrhills passed away August 20, 2018 peacefully at home. After 30 years of service, she retired from Hillsborough County School District. She volunteered at Gulfside Hospice in Zephyrhills. She was an active member of St. Josephs Catholic Church and Ladys Axillary of K of C. Elaine was preceded in death by her parents, Ferdinand and Claire; brother, Larry; son, Robert. Survivors include husband, Edward; children, Neil (Amanda) Strausser, Timothy (Meighan) Strausser, Ed (Susan) Smith, Gordan (Marie) Smith, Pam (Jason) Endean, Carole (Dave) Patterson; 17 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; brothers, Raymond (Diane) Whitehead, Garry (Barbara) Sengstack, Colleen (Gary) Genovese; sister in law, Dee McCarthy/Sengstack. Viewing will be 6-8 PM August 23rd at Hodges Family Funeral Home. A mass will be conducted 11 AM Friday at St Josephs Catholic Church with burial to follow at FNC, Bushnell.
