Ehon M. Hall, of San Antonio, Florida, passed away on Friday, March 22, 2024.
He was born on June 22, 1948, in Wilmington, Delaware, to parents Alfred J. Hall Jr. and Irene Subshenko Hall. He grew up in Newark, Delaware, and graduated from Christiana High School in 1965. He began attending classes at the University of Delaware, and at the age of 20, joined the U.S. Army, serving two tours in Vietnam. A decorated veteran, he completed his bachelors degree at the University of Delaware following his service to his country.
Following graduation, Ehon developed a deep interest in photography, leading him to his ultimate career as a medical photographer for the U.S. VA Healthcare System. He worked for the VA in Dallas, Texas; Hartford, Connecticut; and Tampa, Florida.
Soon after moving to Tampa, Ehon met his wife, Susan S. Hall, through mutual friends. They married on August 16, 1987. They spent the early years of their relationship enjoying time together in nature, sharing a love of the beach, camping, and scuba diving.
Ehon took great pride in his work and home; and he was most proud of his family, especially his daughters, Jennifer Izzo (Michael) and Alexandra Hall. He dedicated his time to his family, serving them through grilled meals and home improvement projects.
He retired from the VA Hospital in October 2008. In his retirement, Ehon enjoyed working in his yard and visiting the local gun range. He earned his glider pilot license and spent hours soaring among the clouds. In his hobbies and his life, Ehon was dedicated and focused. He had a soft spot for his beloved maltipoo, Misha. She was his tv watching buddy and ever-present shadow.
Ehon was preceded in death by his parents, as well as, his brothers, Alexander Hall and Alfred J. Hall. He is survived by his wife, Susan; daughters, Jennifer (Michael) and Alexandra; granddaughter, Kaitlyn Hope; and dog, Misha.
A service will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, March 27 at the Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102nd Ave, Bushnell, FL. Arrangements are being handled by Hodges Family Funeral Home in Dade City, Florida.
