Young, Edward R., 82 of Dade City, passed away Friday, September 21, 2012 in Lakeland. He was born August 28, 1930 in Piqua, OH and moved to this area 11 years ago from Clearwater, FL. He was a retired Fork Lift Mechanic, a US Air Force Veteran and attended the First Baptist Church in Dade City. He is survived by his wife of 57 years: Sally A. Young, Dade City, FL; 3 children: Carla J. & Rocky Knepper, Sebring, FL, Candy King, Lake Wales, FL, Steven C. & Kristy Young, Sautee, GA; brother: Harold Elliott, California; sister: Linda Gauger, St. Charles, IL; and 9 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents: Cleo & Fern Young. Funeral services will be held 11am Friday, September 28, 2012 at the 301 Chapel of Hodges Family Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time.
