JOYCE, Edward 87 of Zephyrhills died on Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013 in Zephyrhills. Mr. Joyce was born in Framingham, MA to John & Nora Carney Joyce. He was a veteran of the US Army (Fighting 69th Infantry Division) and served in the Battle of the Bulge in WW II receiving numerous commendations. Edward delivered new vehicles from the General Motors assembly plant in Framingham for many years and retired from Teamsters Local 170 in Worcester, MA. The Joyces moved to Zephyrhills in 1991 and as residents of Gem Estates they made many friends. The last two years they resided at West Winds Assisted Living in Zephyrhills which they enjoyed very much. Edward was a devoted Catholic and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, and the Elks Lodge of Zephyrhills. He is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years Caroline Hartford Joyce (of Smithfield Maine), and also his daughter Linda (Geoffrey) Wood of Newbury, MA, Son Timothy Joyce of Dorchester, MA, Granddaughter Melanie Wood of Boston, MA and several nieces & nephews.
