Edith L. Drake August 8, 1925-February 17, 2024

Edith passed away peacefully at home in Zephyrhills, Florida, at the age of 98.

Born in Owingsville, Kentucky, to Malinda (Gregory) and Edgar Lykes, Edith grew up in Troy, Ohio. She married her high school sweetheart, Marvin Drake, in 1943 and moved to Bradley, Illinois, where they raised their children, Michael, Gail, Melinda, Robert and Jill.

Edith enjoyed spending time embroidering, reading, working in her flower garden and creating memories with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband and by her grandson, Jeffrey Drake. She is survived by her five children, 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

The funeral was held at Zephyrhills First Church of the Nazarene. A graveside service will take place at Kankakee Memorial Gardens, 15 S 3000E Road, Kankakee, Illinois, Tuesday, February 27, at 10:00am.
