Edith DeMarco, born September 18, 1917 in Elmira, NY passed peacefully in her sleep at the age of 102. Edith grew up in Elmira, and moved to Arizona with her husband, Michael DeMarco (deceased). Five years ago she moved to Florida to live with her daughter, Arlene.
In earlier years, Edith loved to dance and was the life of the party. Recently she loved to socialize and listen to music. She enjoyed going to fish fry at the Eagles where she had many friends. Edith loved her large family and enjoyed when they could all get together. She is predeceased by her first husband, Fredrick Ziegler, and second husband, Michael DeMarco. Edith had 3 siblings that predeceased her, Arthur Yavis, Dorothy Yavis and Harold Yavis. Edith also had 3 children that predeceased her, Joyce Bernas, Fredrick Ziegler, Beverly Lucianco, and 2 grandchildren, Danielle Marrotta and Anthony Bernas. She is survived by her daughter, Arlene Jenkins and son-in-law John Luciano; grandchildren; Patricia Kushaney, John Ward, Michelle Boyle, David Bernas, Rosemary Gonzalez, Richard Bernas; Great-grandchildren: Zhallimar (James) Harris, Paco (Jessica) Gonzalez, David Bernas, Garrett Bernas, Danielle Bernas, Brittney Ward, Christopher (Rebecca) Boyle and many great-great-grandchildren. Edith leaves behind a family that loves her dearly and will miss her always. Edith's family sends a sincere thank you to hospice for providing excellent care and comfort to her, especially Phobe and Marie.Visits: 0
