Johnson, Edgar, 84, passed away at his home with his loving family at his side on August 2, 2013 in Dade City, Fl. He was born July 29, 1929 in Coffee County, Alabama. He has been a residence of Dade City, Fl for over 55 years. Edgar was an owner operator transporter since the age of 16 except when he served for his country in the US Navy and then the US Army battling in WW II. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was preceded to heaven by his loving wife of 54 years Bessie E. Johnson, His loving sons Fredrick (Freddy) E. Johnson of Waupun, WI and Wendell T. Johnson of Zephryhills, Fl. He is survived by his son Eddie Joe Johnson of Brooksville, Fl (Peggy), 2 daughters Evelyn C. Buwalda of Waupun, WI (Erwin) and Audrey M. Williams of Brooksville, Fl (Harold) and 2 daughter-in-laws Leanne Johnson of Waupun, WI and Kathy Johnson of Zephryhills, Fl. 11 grand-kids, 30 great grand-kids, and 7 great great grand-kids. Funeral Sevices to be held at Hodges Funeral Home 301 chapel in Dade City with viewing for family and friends to be held Monday August 5, 2013 6-7pm. Funeral services will be on Tuesday August 6, 2013 @ 2pm at the funeral home with burial to follow at Chapel Hill Gardens.
