Robert Earl Hobbs, 83, left this earth and went straight to the arms of Jesus on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at 9:11am at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on January 28, 1938 to Estus and Laverne Hobbs in Colquitt, Georgia and came to Dade City in 1944 at the age of 6.

He was preceded in death by his father, mother, sister Margaret Oliver, brothers Edward (Buddy) Hobbs and M.D. Hobbs, and son Henry Newell. He is survived by his wife of 55 years: Faye Hobbs; 5 children: Elaina Brown, Frank Hobbs, Bobby (Terri) Martin, Lynn Roenicke, Margaret Ann (Troy) Adams; 10 grandchildren: Kevin, Rachel, Heather, Ashley, Christopher, Wilma, Ashley, Chelsea, Evan, Shelby; 18 great grandchildren: Austin, Jade, Kenley, Marcus, Mason, Joshua, Ethan, Cassidy, Abi, Dixie, Evie Grace, Jasper, Kayleigh, Karsyn, Maddie, Graysen, Braiden and Riley; and a host of nieces, nephews and dear family and friends.

He served in the United States Air Force from 1955 - 1963 and was an active member of the Dade City Moose Lodge 397 where he loved to sing karaoke. He was retired from Pasco County Public Transportation.

The family will receive friends for viewing from 5-7pm Wednesday evening, February 24th at the 301 Chapel of Hodges Family Funeral Home. Services will be held 2pm Thursday, February 25, 2021 at the funeral home with interment to follow at Richland Baptist Church Cemetery.
