Dwight (Ike) Earl Crumpton, 86 passed away on January 11th, 2020 in Zephyrhills, Fl. His wife of 32 years passed away 5 days later on January 16th, 2020.

Ike was born in Tampa Florida to Leslie Earl and Elsie Mae (Kennedy) Crumpton who preceded him in death as well as his 3 brothers Richard, Charles and Leslie Crumpton and his sister Elizabeth Sayer.

He served in the Army and his career with the City of Tampa Fire Department, which is where he retired from. Ike was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Tampa and the American Legion in Dade City. Some of his hobbies included hunting, fishing and tinkering with his kit car. If you knew Ike, you knew he was always good for a laugh and a one liner comeback of some sort. He was a man of many talents and always willing to share them with others and help someone if he could.

He is survived by his stepchildren, Melissa Schaefer of Indiana, Jennifer Onieal of New Mexico and David Salgado of Dade City, Fl. Also surviving are step-grandchildren, Lindsey Worthy, Vanessa Worthy of Indiana, Alex Onieal of Texas and Andrea Salgado, Christian Salgado, Nathan Salgado and Tony Salgado of Nevada along with several great step-grandchildren all of whom he was blessed with through his marriage to Freddie. Also surviving him is a daughter, Liane Teter and many nieces, great nieces, great-great nieces, nephews and great nephews, great-great nephews.

Freddie and Dwight will celebrate their lives together on January 22nd, 2020 at Hodges Family Funeral Home, 11441 US 301 Dade City, FL 33525 from 11a.m. - 1p.m. with a final resting place celebration at Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102nd Av Bushnell, FL 33513 at 2p.m.
