MCCULLOUGH, Douglas Lael, "Doug", age 46, of Dade City, FL passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2020. He was born on March 18, 1974 in Tampa, FL and raised by his mother Elaine (Carney) McCullough, along with his father D. Patrick McCullough and stepmom Eva (Boatright) McCullough in Lakeland, FL. In 2002 Doug met a wonderful Pastor for the deaf that taught him many things and eventually was able to go on mission trips with Pastor Efrain to Honduras and Puerto Rico which really helped him turn his life around. Doug was able to complete his studies and receive his diploma from Penn Foster High School in July of 2011. Ultimately, he was able to work as a counselor for the South Carolina School for the Deaf and Blind which was something he always wanted to do!

Doug was preceded in death by his precious mom, Elaine (Carney) McCullough. He is survived by his father, D. Patrick McCullough (Eva); five children: Gabriell McCullough Warner (Andrew), Isabelle McCullough, Elisa McCullough, Caleb McCullough, and Hannah McCullough; three brothers: Dwayne McCullough (Peaches), Clinton Gilliard (Tanya), and Eric Gilliard (Tammy); one sister, Teresa Anderton (Rick); special cousins, Dean Baumgardner and Lee Baumgardner; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and lots of close friends. A family memorial service will be held at a later date in Hokah, MN. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Hodges Family Funeral Home in Dade City, FL.
