Dorothy Ella
Wheeler
Dec 14, 1947 — Oct 25, 2026
Dorothy Wheeler, originally of Barker, New York, and later of Dade City, Florida, passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus., October 25, 2026.
Dorothy was the cherished sister of Dale and Louis, and of David, who welcomed her home ahead of the rest of us. She was the loving mother of Eric, Jennifer, and Lisa, and the proud grandmother of two special grandcats.
Dorothy retired from Walmart, where she truly enjoyed her work and the people she met.
She found a caring extended family among her friends at Morningside Park in Dade City, Florida, and treasured those relationships.
Known for her kind heart, dry sense of humor, quirky wit, and thoughtful nature, Dorothy brought joy to those around her. She loved singing, playing percussion instruments such as the cajón and tambourine, caring for homeless kitties, and sharing her faith.
She will be remembered for her compassion, laughter, music, and the love she freely gave. Though deeply missed, her family finds comfort in knowing she is happy in Heaven and reunited with loved ones.
A celebration of Dorothy's life will be held on November 14 at 2:00 p.m. at Morningside RV Park in Dade City, Florida.
