Doris J. Comis, 87, of Bushnell, Florida, passed away on July 22,2016. Doris was a retired Sgt. with Florida Department of Corrections. She worked at Glades Correctional Facility in Belle Glade, Florida until her retirement. Doris loved her family above all else. She enjoyed camping, traveling, and animals. She was preceded in death by her parents: Denny and Verbenna Smith; one brother: Dwayne Smith; her husband: Edward D. Comis; and a son: Hugh Comis. She is survived by a brother; Doug Smith (Joan) of Liberty, North Carolina; her sons: Don Comis (Jody) of Spring Hill, Florida, Morris Comis (Ruth) of Bushnell, Florida, Jeffrey Comis (Betty) of Bushnell, Florida and her daughters: Susan McCraine of Clewiston, Florida, and Sheriell Bowe (David) of Dade City, Florida; 20 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, and numerous out of state nieces, nephews, and cousins.
