Donna Jean Peterson, a devoted wife, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 4, 2026. She was preceded in death by her parents, Melton Warren Rich and Willie Jean Rich; her brother, Johnny A. Rich; and her beloved niece, Jeanna.

She shared 57 wonderful years of marriage with her husband, Charles William Peterson, a partnership built on love, respect, and devotion that inspired all who knew them.

Donna is survived by her siblings: Dale and Gail Rich, with children Dale Jr. (Brandy), Melissa (Johnny), and Derek; Gary and Linda Rich, with children Christina, Gary Jr. (Jessica), Danielle, Sara, and Candice; Pamela and Doug Bailey, with children Doug Jr. (Stephanie) and Amanda (Gary); Lisa and Richard Coving, with son Richie; Teresa and Lannie Bowman, with children John (Gina) and Tasha; Gaylan Rich, with children Ashley (Luis), Tiffany, and Gaylan Jr.; Timothy and Shirley Rich, with children Justin, Matt, Samantha (Alen), and Michael; and Shane and Barbara Rich, with children Genna (Jacob) and Ethan (Trinity). She is also survived by the family of the late Johnny A. and Joyce Rich, including their children Angela, Chasity (Billy), and Johnny Jr., as well as many great-nieces and great-nephews.

Donna had a heart full of love and a spirit that brightened every room. She cherished her dogs, Cody and Broady, family gatherings, and the simple moments that connected loved ones. She was the glue that held her family together, and her nurturing spirit will continue to guide and inspire them.

Her warmth, kindness, and devotion left a lasting mark on everyone she met. Though she will be deeply missed, her love and the memories she created will live on in the hearts of her family and friends forever.

Her memory will live on in every laugh, every gathering, and every moment of love shared by her family.

Funeral services will be held Monday, March 9, 2026, at Hodges Funeral Home, 36327 FL-54, Zephyrhills, Florida 33541. Family visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m., with friends welcome at 10:00 a.m.
