Donna "Gail" Long, age 77, of Gainesville, FL, passed away on January 6, 2025, following a brief illness. Born on January 23, 1947, in Plant City, FL, she was the daughter of Bob Long and Ada Quinell Long.

Gail had a distinguished career as a telephone fraud investigator for CenturyLink (formerly known as Florida Telephone), where she worked for 32 years. She was also a dedicated volunteer at The Village of Gainesville, where she regularly called bingo and served on numerous committees to benefit the residents.

A beloved sister, aunt, and friend, Gail will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her brother, Randy (Sandra) Long, and her niece, Kourtney (Brian, Brock, Brooklyn) LaPlant. She was predeceased by her parents and her niece, Kelli Long.

A graveside service to celebrate Gail's life will be held on Friday, January 10, 2025, at 2:00 PM at the Trilby Cemetery, located at 21269 Trilby Cemetery Rd, Dade City, FL 33523. The service will be officiated by Scott Black.

She will be remembered for her kind spirit, loving nature, and the joy she brought to everyone she encountered. She will be deeply missed by all those who loved her.
