Donald Raymond Shannon, 85, of Dade City, Florida passed away August 25, 2021. Donald was born August 8, 1936 to Donald and Ida Shannon. He retired from the United Postal Service after 34 years. Don was a giving, kind, Christian man with a big heart. He attended the First Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing and he had a passion for gospel music; hed rather sing than eat. Don loved his family dearly, they enjoyed family vacations together. Don was truly a wonderful man. He is preceded in death by his parents: Donald and Ida Shannon; Brother: Frederick Donald; Sisters: Shirleen Marie and Joan Alberta Keller Donald is survived by his Wife of 61 years: Gwendolyn (Jean) Shannon; Children: Tammy Shannon Turner, Shellie Shannon Premer (Kevin), Laura Shannon Cross (Jonny) and Shay Shannon (Angel); Grandchildren: Michael Turner (Mary), Ryan Turner (Amber), Lesley Corlee (Shawn), Lauren Premer Lee , Lindsay Premer, Peyton Keith, Chelsea Shannon, Shaylee Shannon and Falyn Maldonado; Sister: Wanda Kellett Fowler (Walt) ; Niece: Kelly Kellett Roberts (Bruce); also, a great niece and nephew and many great grands. A graveside service will be held August 31, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Floral Memory Gardens in Dade City, Florida.
