Donald L. Atkinson died on March 19, 2017. Donald was born November 22, 1930 son of Alvin and Dorotha Atkinson. Don graduated from Jefferson Township High School Upland, IN class of 1949. After graduation he went to work at Owens Illinois Glass Company until 1982. In 1954 he married his wife, Carolyn who preceded him in death in 2001. He is survived by sons Donnie Atkinson of Marion, IN, Steve Atkinson (Billie) of Jonesboro, IN, David (Trish) Atkinson of Zephyrhills, FL and daughter Kim (Nigel) Brown of Fond du Lac, WI; 7grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild; sisters Helen Adkins of Somerset, IN and Janet (Dale) Kilgore of Marion IN, a brother Robert Atkinson of Upland IN and special companion Georgette Theroux of Zephyrhills, FL. In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by a sister Mary Fierstos. Donald served in the Army from 1955-1958 and was stationed in Germany. Service and burial will be held at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell FL on March 23 at 11:00 AM
