IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Dolores G.
Lanigan
April 5, 1934 – November 7, 2025
Dolores G. Lanigan, 91, went to her heavenly home on November 7, 2025. She was born on April 5, 1934 to Haskell and Claudia Green in Plant City, FL and was a lifelong resident of Dade City, FL.
Dolores attended Pasco High School, where she graduated in 1952. She was a hard-working woman who never slowed down. Her career included many years at Pasco Abstract and the Pasco County Property Appraiser's Office until her retirement in 1999. Even after retiring, she stayed active and involved in the community. Many will remember seeing her at the Edwinola, the Glavich Fruit Stand, doing yard work for friends or chauffeuring her grandchildren around town.
She was deeply devoted to her community. She frequently attended the City Commission meetings, volunteered countless hours at the Pioneer Museum and was an Emeritus Board Member. One thing she never gave up was her involvement with the Pasco County Fair where she proudly served as an active Board of Director. The fairgrounds truly kept her going--she loved her fair family and cherished every moment spent there.
Outside of her community work, she was an avid gardener who took great pride tending to her flowers and lawn. She also loved watching football, especially the Buccaneers and the Florida Gators.
Dolores is survived by her daughters Donna Kinney (Lon) and Maureen Sasser (Randy); Grandchildren Jessica Dennis, Alisa Middleton, Cara Kinney, Emily Sasser, Shelby Sasser and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Fred Lanigan; son Chris Dennis; two sisters Shirley North and Karen Williams.
Her visitation will be held at Hodges Family Funeral Home in Dade City, Florida on Tuesday, November 11 from 4pm-6pm. The service will be held at the Dade City First United Methodist Church Wednesday, November 12 at 10:30am, and burial will follow at Dade City Cemetery.
