Dolores Ann Blount, 86, passed away in Lakeland, FL on October 18, 2023. She was born on April 17, 1937, in Tennessee to parents Georgia and William Cavin. Her first job was working at an ice cream shop but she worked at many different stores after. She was an employee of Evans Packing until they closed and then moved to work at Dade City Hospital as a dietary aide until she retired. She was married to Austin Preston Harris for many years. After she was married to Randal Blount until the time of his passing. She loved to spend time with her grandchildren and attending church. She particularly enjoyed traveling to North Carolina and the Cabin on the river where she loved to host family. She is survived by her children, Tony Harris (Debbie), Nancy Harris, Stacy Green (Kevin), and Mark Harris (Nicol); grandchildren, Kyle Gibson, Jason Harris, Sarah Arnold, Sariannah Arnold, Trent Davis, Josh Moats, Taylor Richard Davis, Ashley Brown, Johnathan Harris, Karl Denner, Kayleigh Denner, Kennedy Denner Kelly, Katie Harris, Kris Harris, Karoline Harris, Klaire Harris, Kaden Harris, Kasin Harris, Kalli Harris, and Keeqan Harris; great-grandchildren, Quinn Davis, Sebastian Gibson, Kori Gibson, Winnie Gibson, "Little" Kyle Gibson, Izyaiah Moats, Shaelyn Moats, Noah Moats, Julian Moats, Renezmae Moats, Jada Davis, Gabriel Davis, Diezel Davis, Daizee Davis, and Devanee Davis; and one great-great-grandchild, Gommier Westley. She is preceded in death by her sister Tessie Smith who passed away last year in 2022. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 24, from 6-8 p.m. at Hodges Family Funeral Home in Dade City. The following day a visitation will run from 12-1 p.m., with services immediately to follow. She will be placed to rest the same day at Chapel Hill Gardens.
