IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Diane Elizabeth
Murray
May 4, 1954 – June 24, 2025
Diane Elizabeth "Dee Dee" Murray, passed away peacefully on June 24, 2025, in Land O Lakes, Florida with her family by her side. She was born on May 4, 1954, in Utica, New York, to Frank Louis Miccoli and Gertrude Doris Bonomo.
Diane graduated from Whitesboro High School in 1972, where she enjoyed her time on the school archery team. She went on to obtain an associate's degree in retail business management from Mohawk Valley Community College in 1975. Following her passion for understanding the human spirit, she obtained a bachelor's degree in psychology, magna cum laude, from Syracuse University in 2003. As a member of Psi Chi, the International Honor Society in Psychology, she embodied compassion, empathy and a dedication to lifelong learning.
On September 5, 1981, at St. Paul's Church in Whitesboro, New York, Diane married her soulmate, Ronald Murray. Together they built a life and family with their two daughters. Diane never missed any of her family's running, skiing, and snowshoeing events, always the best supporter, spectator and photographer. She loved capturing life's moments through her photos and was an excellent painter and sculptor. Diane and Ron also shared a special love for their canine companions, Valentine and Pumpkin.
From 2000 to 2012, Diane served in a civil service role as Nurse Clerk at Whitesboro High School, where her kindness and gentle humor enriched the lives of students and faculty alike. Her most cherished legacy in that role was the genuine care she showed every young person who crossed her path.
Diane is survived by her devoted husband of 44 years, Ronald of Tampa, Florida; daughters Colleen (John) Marshall of Wesley Chapel, Florida, and Kelly (Michael) Moran of Whitesboro, New York; grandchildren Lily, John and Flynn; sister Mary (Tony) Bossone of Port Richey, Florida; niece Jen (Eric) Scanna, and nephews Tony (Amy) Bossone and David (Dana) Bossone; and her cherished friends Linda DiNardo, Rosanne Guidera and Greg Perry.
She was predeceased by her parents, Frank Miccoli and Gertrude Bonomo; aunt and uncle Francis and Guy Bonomo; in-laws Catherine and John Murray; brother-in-law John Murray; and brother and sister-in-law Donald and Gerry Murray.
The Murray family extends heartfelt gratitude to the nurses and doctors at AdventHealth Connerton for their compassionate care during Diane's final days.
