Derrick Joseph Doty, 40, passed away on November 20, 2018. He was born in Norwalk, Connecticut to Keith Doty and Judith Hunt. Derrick is survived by his loving wife, Betty; three children: Anthony, Cheyanne, and Brooke; grandchildren: Christian, Devin, Elijah, Noah, Victoria, Penelope "Nelly", a soon to be newcomer Briella, Aydin, Ashlynn, and Khaleb. One sister, Ashley Bassett; his uncle, John Hunt; all his Brothers and Sisters in Blue, and all his friends close and far, and those who have crossed paths with him, he will forever be remembered. He was a great man, husband, father, and grandfather, dedicated to his family and community. He loved all his grandchildren so much and always spoke to them about excelling their talents and making him proud. And to Christian, his baseball player, Red Sox all the way Lil Man, make Grandpa proud to be on that team. A visitation will be held at Hodges Family Funeral Home, Hwy 301, Dade City from 12-2pm with services at 2pm. A burial will immediately follow at Floral Memory Gardens. Visitation
