Derrick Winton Allen Beers, 23, of Zephyrhills Florida, passed away on September 8, 2019 in Zephyrhills in an automobile accident.

Derrick was born in Lima, Ohio. Derrick was a loving and devoted son, brother, father, and uncle whos biggest joy in life was spending time with his own son. He also enjoyed off road mudding, playing video games with his friends, and skateboarding anywhere he could. He was passionate about everything he did. He treated his friends as if they were family.

Derrick is preceded in death by; Winton and Helen Decker, great grandmother -Anthony Schneider, uncle -Larry Schneider, great uncle -Vickie Schneider, great aunt.

Derrick is survived by; his parents: Brent and Laura Beers, Angela Beers (Justin Rogers) -son: Zayn Anthony Beers -partner: Hayley McMahen -siblings: Dyllan Beers (Taylor Arnold) and Prince Belford -aunts/uncles: Brian and Joellen Beers, Brad and Crystal Webb, Joel and Nicole Vega, Sean and Cigi Grey, Jennifer and Brian Shaw, Amanda and Derrick Sutherland -niece: Ezmeriah Marie Beers -grandparents: Judy Beers, Jeff and Judy Schneider, Robert and Joyce Moyer -great grandparents: Bob and Janet Schneider. There are also several cousins as well as friends who played more of a family roll. There are is not enough room to name everyone. He will truly be missed by all.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made out to Boards for Bros. Their mission is to give all kids a chance to have their very own first skateboard that they otherwise would not be able to afford to have. They are fully committed to providing equipment, safe skate spots, and youth mentoring in our community. Anyone who knows Derrick will understand how important this was to him. The family of Derrick wishes to extend their sincere thanks to Stephen Halsey, Luis Flores, as well as all who assisted Derrick in his time of need.

Funeral services in Florida will be held Saturday, September 14th, 2019 at Hodges Family Funeral Home, 36327 SR 54, Zephyrhills, FL 33541 at 1 p.m. Family will receive friends from 12 noon until service time. Derrick will also have another service in Ohio with time and date to be determined.
