Dennis Darrell Hattel, age 77, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend to so many passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on April 3rd, 2025 at his home in Dade City, Florida after battling cancer. He is survived by his loving, devoted wife of 50 years, June (Bader) Hattel; his loving daughter and her husband, Tammy & Bruce Palmerston; loving granddaughter Amanda Palmerston; sister Carol Hattel of Bismarck, ND; sister-in-law Charlene Dickerson; brothers-in-laws Jeffrey Bader and Dan Bader; nieces Tiffany Bader, Tina Bader, Dawn Bader; nephews Jimmy Hadley and Todd Bader; and his North Dakota cousins Marlin & Jim Haluska, Diane Gust, and Steve, Dave & Mike Flick. Dennis was predeceased by his loving parents Joseph & Edna Hattel of Hurdsfield, ND. Dennis was a proud Marine serving in the Vietnam War. He graduated High School in Hurdsfield, ND in 1965. He graduated from the University of North Dakota in 1970 earning a Bachelors Degree.

A graveside service will be held at the Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102nd Ave, Bushnell, FL 33513 on Thursday, April 10th, 2025 at 10:30 a.m., (Arrive no later than 10:15 a.m.)
