Dennis Carey Geer 75 years of age resided in Port Richey, Fl died on Monday, January 16th, 2023.at James A Haley Veterans Hospital Tampa, FL

Dennis was born on May 4th, 1947, in Starlight PA to parents Raymon and Edith Geer. He spent his childhood in Hancock, NY. Dennis lived in several places including New York, Georgia, North Carolina, Louisiana, Germany, and Colorado before settling in Florida.

He was an ASE Technician/Mechanic and had a plumbing and electrician background, motor pool sergeant and before retirement, he was a custodian at Woodland Elementary.

He served in the US Army and enlisted in 1966, he served in the infantry Division and fought in the Vietnam War.

His hobbies included rebuilding cars, going to flea markets, VFW Lifetime Member, and NRA Member, Watching Wrestling/ Westerns, Playing card games (rummy),

Dennis is survived by: Daughters: AmySue Hammond (Husband George), and Denise Carey Link (Husband Oren) Grandchildren: Chelsea Nicole Jeffrey, Joshua Dennis Link, Daniel Carl Hammond, Andrew Joseph Link, and Susan Cora Hammond Great Grandchildren: Gabriel Hammond, Hunter Jeffrey, Lincoln Hammond, Evelyn Hammond, and Nora Hammond Siblings: Sister-Marylin Wormuth (Husband Raymond) and Brother- David Geer (Wife Linda) Pets: Dogs-Bella and Baby.

He was Preceded in death by his: Wife: Susan Carol Geer (Decker) January 14th, 2013, Grandchildren: Abraham Joseph Hammond February 22nd, 2022, Siblings: Richard Geer, Charles Geer, Donald Geer, Harold Geer, Betty May Geer

Burial will take place at Florida National Cemetery 6502 SW 102nd Ave, Bushnell, FL 33513 On Wednesday, January 25th, 2023 at 10:30 am. There will be a Celebration of Life: at Souls Harbor of Dade City 37143 Clinton Ave, Dade City, FL 33525 On Saturday, January 28th, 2023, at 3 pm
