Dennis E. Davis 88, of Dade City passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2016. He was born February 1, 1928 in McGaheysville, VA to George Gilbert & Nellie Dorothea Sandridge Davis. He was a retired Automobile and Tractor Mechanic and a U.S. Army Veteran. He was employed by Douglas Ford Tractor, Steve's Foreign Car Garage and Oakley Citrus.He was a member of Oakridge Baptist Church in Trilby. He is survived by 7 children: Linda Fay & Bob Lambert, Carolyn Turner, Phylis Davis, Brenda Sterrett, Arlene & Mike Ile, Maxine & Bill Lowe, Linda & Ron Clark; 2 sisters: Geraldine Armentrout, Lorraine Armentrout; 14 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife: Lillian Margaret Davis; daughter: Louise Morey; and brother: Gilbert Davis Jr; son in law, Rick Turner.Funeral services will be held 10am Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at the 301 Chapel of Hodges Family Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Williams Cemetery. The family will receive friends for viewing from 5-7pm Tuesday evening at the funeral home.Flowers will be gratefully accepted or those that wish may make donations in his memory to HPH Hospice.
