Denise Sokol Jefferson lived in Tampa, Florida until her death on March 4th, 2020 at the age of 55. Born on April 21st, 1964 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren, Ohio to her loving parents George and Mary Ann (Sokol) Sokol. Denise graduated from Howland High School in 1982 as a valedictorian. She later attended Trumbull School of Business and graduated in 1985 with an associate degree in business management.

In 1990 she moved to Tampa and worked as a data processor for a large pharmaceutical company for over twenty years. In the past ten years she was an integral part of the family business Platinum Pools.

She loved to cook and always enjoyed the holidays with the family. She adored her 120lb white lab Daisy and would take her to the beach and dog parks and enjoyed her cat named spook. She has been married to Daniel Jefferson the past 20 years and they enjoyed watching their beloved Tampa Bay Bucs and were avid season ticket holders. She loved spending time with her husband, camping, the outdoors and four-wheeling. Dan was a blessing to her, and he took the best care of her during her battle with cancer. She was an inspiration to her family with her endless courage and strength throughout her 10-year battle with cancer.

She is preceded in death by her father, George Sokol; her mother-in-law, Linda Roberts; and her father-in-law, Kenneth Jefferson. She is survived by her husband, Daniel Jefferson; her mother, Mary Ann Sokol; her brother, David Sokol; and sister-in-law, Kathie Britton.

A tentative memorial will be held at All Souls Cemetery in Cortland, Ohio on Friday, March 20th where she will be laid to rest next to her father.

Denise is home in heaven, dear ones; oh, so happy and so bright! There is perfect joy and beauty in the everlasting light. All the pain and grief are over, every restless tossing passed. She is now at peace forever, safely home in heaven at last.
