Denis Alexandre Roy 74, of Dade City, FL passed away on January 4th, 2017 at Gulfside Hospice in Zephryhills, Florida after a very short illness. He was born June 1, 1942 in Lake Megantic, Quebec to Leon and Juliette Roy. He went to high school at Mexico High and graduated in 1960. He moved to this area in 1999 from New Hampshire. Denis was an Electrician and owned his own Generator Service business. He enjoyed playing golf, roller-blading and spending time with his family. He is survived by his partner Linda Jones of Dade City; his ex-wife Kathleen Roy; his siblings: Suzanne, Germaine, Sister Paulette, Rene, Roger and Paul; his children: Andrew Roy, Lisbeth Roy and Scott Roy; his grandchildren: Will Roy, Alex Roy, Abagail Roy, and Alexa Schulte; and great-granddaughter Adeline Roy. He was preceded in death by his grandson Liam Marino and siblings: Raymond, Laurette, and Claude. A memorial services will be held Sunday January 8th 2:00pm at the 301 Chapel of Hodges Family Funeral Home (11441 Hwy 301, Dade City, FL 33525). Flowers will be gratefully accepted or those that wish may make donations in his memory to Gulfside Hospice Care Center 5760 Dean Dairy Rd, Zephryhills, Fl 33541. He was much loved and will be sadly missed.
