Delina I. Moore (nee Young) was born May 2, 1924, and passed from this life January 15, 2018, after a long, hard-fought battle with Alzheimer's. Delina was born in Millfield, Ohio, and her family moved to West Virginia when she was a young girl. That is where she met and married Bill. They moved with their two children to Dade City, Florida, in 1957. In addition to raising two children, Delina often worked two jobs to help support her disabled veteran husband. They both worked intensively with VFW Post 4283, helping ensure that veterans received benefits and recognition. Delina loved to read, to sew, and to cook, and nothing made her happier than having her family around her. She is probably best remembered for her loving heart, her willingness to help, and her sincere ability to forgive. She is predeceased by infant daughter Janet Elizabeth, husband William E. "Bill", and granddaughter Brittany Christine. She is survived by her daughter Ladina and son Jerry. Arrangements are being handled by Hodges Funeral Home with a viewing on Monday, January 22, 2018 from 10am to 12pm. Following the visitation there will be a 12pm graveside service and burial at Chapel Hill Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Ways to donate as well as helpful information regarding this disease may be found at https://act.alz.org
