Delia " Dedi" Margaret Anderson-Haslam. Born March 1942 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Died June 21, 2024 in Zephyrhills, Florida.
Dedi had no siblings and was a widower. Her husband of 35 years, Alfred E Haslam, died in 2019. He was the "Famous Al" of Al's Famous Pizza in San Antonio. They were married in 1988 in Miami, Florida where they both lived and had businesses until returning to Dade City in 1988.
Dedi was also preceded in death by her parents, Oliver and Celia (Linkey) Anderson. Oliver was born in Lane, South Dakota. Celia was born in Falconer, New York.
Dedi was an educator and an attorney. She taught in New York City, in the Miami area and in Hillsborough County. She retired from teaching in 2013 after 25 years. She was an avid proponent of education for women. She was a member of the Zephyrhills chapter of PEO (Philanthropic Educational Org.).
We will miss her humor, her kindness, and her independent spirit.
There is no service planned and she is being placed with her husband at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida.
