Debra Singleton White (73), beloved wife, mother and grandmother passed away at the Gulfside Hospice in Zephyrhills, on Wednesday, May 15th. Debbie lived in the Trilby area of Pasco Cunty.
She was born on April 14, 1951, in San Jose, California to Carl Sallee and Sadie Hinson. Her mother later married Harold Singleton and Deb found herself part of a Navy family. As such she attended numerous schools in numerous locations. These locations included California, Florida, Maryland, Mississippi, Hawaii and Midway Island.
Deb married Jay White on January 9, 1971, at Mayport Naval Air Station. Early in the marriage, Deb worked as Assistant to the Editor at Oxmoor House, the book publishing arm of Southern Living Magazine. She relinquished this job to become a full-time mother to her children; Jason White, Jared White and Amanda Krysiak.
During the marriage, the family had the opportunity to live in numerous cities. These included Brunswick, Ga, Statesboro, GA, Birmingham, AL, Westbury, NY, Rochester, NY, Paramus , NJ, Palm Harbor, FL and then the Trilby area of Florida.
Deb had several interests including-stained glass, scuba diving, raising and showing horses (Paso Finos). She also bred thoroughbred horses. She had an interest in healing techniques and was ordained a Pastor by the Southern Baptist Association. As such she was qualified to provide Pastoral care in the Associations hospitals.
Deb is survived by her spouse of fifty-three years Jay White. She is also survived by her children; Jason White of Denver, Co, Jared White of Pottstown, PA and Amada Krysiak of Rock Hill, SC. Additionally, she is survived by eight grandchildren.
Per Debs request, there will be no memorial or funeral services. Her ashes will be spread on the waters off Grand Cayman Island where she loved to scuba dive.
