Debbie Day Myrick, 66, of Ridge Manor, Florida passed on Tuesday, August 30, 2022. She was born on March 2, 1956 in Loris, South Carolina to D.W. Ammons and Bobbie Jean Grainger. When she was a young girl, Debbies family moved to the state of Florida, where she resided for the rest of her life. She married the love of her life, John Henry Myrick III, on June 9th, 1973 in Chesterfield, South Carolina. For 29 years they raised their family in Trilby, Florida, and then, in 2002 they moved to Ridge Manor, Florida. She was a fan of the Florida State Seminoles. Debbie loved taking care of her rose bushes, cooking, and baking. She worked at the Publix bakery for 12 years and prior to that, the Multi-Line Can Company for 25 years. Publix Customers would wait in line for the bread made specifically by her and their family would look forward every year to her amazing Thanksgiving and Christmas Feasts. Debbie was a loving wife and amazing mother. She was very devoted to her family. She is preceded in death by her brother: Frankie Ammons. Debbie is survived by her beloved husband of 49 years: John Henry Myrick III; Son: John Henry Myrick IV; Siblings: Pansy Smith, Penny Franklin, and Ladina Laney. A funeral service will be held on September 9, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Hodges Family Funeral Home in Dade City. A time of visitation will take place prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow the service at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Dade City, Florida.
