Zephyrhills, FL Dawn E. Weaver Spadaccini passed away March 2, 2018, at her home, with her family at her side in Zephyrhills, Florida after a long battle with cancer.Dawn was born on September 17, 1958 to the late Archie and Bernadette Weaver of Canaan, CT. She graduated from Oliver Wolcott Technical School in 1976 with a "Hairdressing and Cosmetology" diploma. Dawn worked at Becton and Dickenson; she was secretary for the North Canaan Congregational Church and Canaan Episcopal Church for many years. She started the "Yo Kids" program at Pilgrim house where middle school students could go weekly to dance, play games, and socialize with friends. Before leaving for Florida, Dawn was the administrative assistant for Lynn Hollyn designer in Lakeville, CT.Dawn was married to James (Jim) F. Spadaccini April 28, 1978. They have two children, Stacey Stambaugh, her husband Jason, James M. Spadaccini and his wife Nida. They have two grandchildren, Kaden and Kaydee Stambaugh.Dawn and Jim moved the family down to Florida in 1994. Dawn was predeceased by her sister Bonnie L. Palmer and brother Mark E. Weaver, and leaves her brothers and sister; Richard Weaver and Beverly Becker of Canaan, Douglas and wife Phyllis (Tinker) of Egremont, MA, Debbie Bergenty and husband Steve of Canaan and Dexter and wife Dawn (Fuller) Weaver of Norfolk. Also, brother-in-law Michael Spadaccini and his wife Lisa of Canaan, and sister-in law, Cathy Allison and husband Jeff of Tennessee.She also leaves 10 nieces and nephews; Robert Palmer of West Haven, Maribeth Weaver Marchi, Heather Weaver Tallon, Kenneth Weaver, Jason, Joshua and Ashleigh Bergenty all of Canaan. Doug Weaver Jr. of Pittsfield MA, Kim Weaver Bleau of Ashley Falls, MA, and Kaitlyn Weaver of Norfolk. 9 great nieces and nephews: Camdyn and Gavin Tallon, Reagan Marchi, Jackson and Alexie Weaver, Kolby, Luke, Adrian and Natalia Bleau. Our family laughs that our grandparents were only children and added 30 lives to the world.
On her husband's side, she also leaves behind 5 nieces and nephews Mike, Jason, and Stephanie Spadaccini, and David, and Crystal Allison, along with 8 great nieces and nephews.In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Canaan Fire Company, Box 642, Canaan, CT 06018
