David W. Wilcher 92, of Zephyrhills, FL passed away Tuesday, April 14th, 2020. He was born April 11, 1928 in Steubenville, OH to Somers David & Anna Margaret Love Wilcher. He graduated from Wintersville High School and received his Bachelor's degree from Ohio State University. He served as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Marine Corp and retired from National Steel as a Metallurgical Engineer.
David was an active member of the Masonic Grand Lodge of Steubenville, OH and the Shriner's. He joined the lodge in 1951 and he achieved the level of 3rd Degree Master Mason. Following his retirement to Florida, he attended the First United Methodist Church of Zephyrhills. He enjoyed working in his garden and traveling.
David is survived by 2 children: David P. Wilcher and his wife Rita, and Deborah Demboski; their mother: Phyllis Wilcher; 3 grandchildren: Sara McKenzie, Kevin Wilcher, Amanda Wilcher; and 2 great grandchildren: Cameron Wilcher and Davis Larson. He was preceded in death by his companion of 25 years: Mildred Peterson; and his brother: Charles Wilcher.
