David Meikle died in his home on December 25, 2017 in Zephyrhills, Florida due to complications from mesothelioma. He was 73.

David was born on March 4, 1944 in Yale, Michigan to his parents, Robert and Ruth Meikle. He was a Vietnam veteran. He retired in 2006 from the banking industry. He was active in the communities he lived in; serving on committees and boards. He was particularly active with the Special Olympics and mental health board in the state of Michigan.

David is survived by his sons, Josh and Corey Meikle.

A memorial service will be held in Michigan at a time to be determined.
