David Mahlon Daughtry, 50, of Zephyrhills, Florida passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2020. He was born in Toccoa, Georgia on September 27, 1969 to parents Patrick Henry and Aletia Diana Smith Daughtry. He was a man who enjoyed science-fiction. The original Star Wars trilogy being his favorite set of movies. He loved space ships, his favorite of all time was the Millennium Falcon. His favorite characters from Star Wars being Han Solo, Boba Fett and Chewbacca. His favorite sport was boxing. His favorite boxer was Vasyl Lomachenko. He was a man who enjoyed many types of music genres. He enjoyed comic books long before they were cool. He loved coffee, and his favorite food was steak rare (he often said if he could eat steak raw he would).

David is survived by his beloved wife of 27 years, Lisa; daughter, Lindsay Bateman (Grant); son, Logan Daughtry; grandson, Leonardo Bateman; son, Teddy Witzke; mother, Aletia Daughtry; 2 brothers, James and Jason Daughtry; sister, Jennifer Daughtry; nephews, Dustin Harrelson; Johnathan Daughtry, Christopher Daughtry; and Maverick Herrera; and nieces, Emilee Douglas, Angelica Mailloux, Skye Daughtry, and Merquray Daughtry. He was father Patrick. Family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m. on Friday, May 22 at Hodges Funeral Home, 36327 Highway 54, Zephyrhills, FL 33541.
