Dathene Virginia Loucks went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on April 10th, 2024. She died peacefully in her sleep. Dathene was born on July 8th, 1936, in Pikesville, KY. She moved with her parents, Nancy Lurlie and John William Perkins, to Millerton, NY when she was a child. Several years later, she met the love of her life and future husband, Charles David Loucks, Sr. They were married June 7th, 1953. The happy couple went on to have seven children: Charles David, Jr., Deborah Agnes, Gail Ann, Bryan John, Nancy Faith, Patricia Jane, and Gerald Thomas. She was a devoted wife and mother. She worked for many years as a waitress at Dovals Restaurant in Bantam, CT. After moving to Florida in 1987, she joined her husband in selling manufactured homes. She had a very successful career until her retirement in 2001. Dathene was an avid golfer. She played throughout her life and extensively in retirement. She won several tournaments and even shot a hole-in-one once. She was an excellent cook, bringing all the family in for holidays and occasions. She enjoyed reading and always had a good book nearby. On Sundays, she could be found cheering on her favorite team, the NE Patriots. Mostly, she cherished spending time with her beloved family. She will be dearly missed. Dathene is predeceased by Charles David Loucks, Sr. (husband), Gerald Thomas Loucks (son), Nancy Lurlie Perkins (mother), John William Perkins (father), William Belletete (son-in-law), Lily Melissa Adkins (sister), Billy Dean Adkins (brother), and Alex Lloyd Adkins (brother). She is survived by her children, Charles David Loucks, Jr. (Lisa), Deborah Gourlay (Gary), Gail Watts (Jim), Bryan Loucks, Nancy Belletete (Rex), Patricia Bell, 13 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and her large extended family and friends. Services will be held at Hodges Family Funeral Home in Dade City, Fl. On April 27th, 2024 at 11 am. Memorial Donation There are no gallery images.
