Dara Elizabeth Mendez Morgan, 44, of Land O Lakes FL was granted her wings on May 1, 2023 as a result of a long battle with colon cancer. Her final days were spent surrounded by her loving family. She was born to Anthony Patrick Mendez and Kimberly Garnett Lee in Charleston WV on June 1, 1978.

Daras life would seem too short to many, but those who were touched by her understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives.

Dara is survived by her loving husband, Michael Patrick Morgan; Son, Cyrus Anthony Snodgrass; and Daughter, Lola Jane Morgan all of Land O Lakes FL; Stepson, Blake Morgan, Jacksonville FL. Dara also leaves behind her Parents, Kimberly Lee and Douglas Keans, Wesley Chapel FL; In-laws, Michael and Sandra Morgan, Winter Haven FL, Polly Guthrie St. Augustine FL; Sisters, Leigh Ann Mendez Wolfenden, Ruskin FL, Lauren Mendez, Newport News VA; Stepsister Megan Keans, Tampa FL; Stepmother, Tracy Kiger, Williamstown WV.

Dara will be missed by her Nieces, Kendall Jane Wolfenden, Tampa FL and Amanda Insua Null, Allendale, MI; Nephews, Coley Ellison, St. Augustine FL, Robert Nathaniel Wolfenden, Ruskin FL; and by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Dara was preceded in death by her father, Anthony Patrick Mendez.

Hodges Funeral Home Dade City/ Zephyrhills FL is in charge of the cremation arrangements.

A Remembrance of Life Celebration will be held Saturday May 6th at 10:00 am, St. Marys Episcopal Church, Dade City FL. A reception will follow the celebration in the church hall.
