Danny Lee Schmidt age 68, of Dade City passed away peacefully Wednesday, August 11th, 2021 surrounded by his family. He was born March 30, 1953 in Colorado to John & Eleanor Schmidt. He owned and operated his own automobile/body shop and served his country in the Army Reserves. He leaves behind his wife of 50 years: Barbara J. Schmidt; 3 children: son Daniel W. Schmidt, daughter Michelle Schmidt-Wells (Joe), son Jacob Schmidt (Jennifer); 6 grandchildren: Daniel Schmidt, Ethan Schmidt, Gabriel Way, Jackson Way, Dylan Schmidt, Bailey Schmidt; 2 great grandchildren: Leia Countryman-Schmidt, Ellia Schmidt; 2 brothers: John Schmidt, Zachary Schmidt; 3 sisters: Katherine Tabor, Patty Combs, Susan Durst. A memorial gathering will be held from 2-4pm Saturday, August 21st, 2021 at the 301 Chapel of Hodges Family Funeral Home 301 Chapel. Remembrance Gathering
