Dannie Gray Mullins, 77, of Zephyrhills, FL lost his battle with cancer which he had been fighting since 2014. Dannie was born February 3, 1941 in Clintwood, VA. He is the son of Earnest Mullins and Orpha Mullins. Dan's mother died when he was 10 years old. At the age of 14 he went to live with his brothers Claude and Jimmy in Michigan. At age 17, Dannie joined the US Army which became his family and new home. He remained in the Army for 21 years, serving in Germany, Viet Nam, Korea, and the USA. After retiring from the military, Dannie went to work at the VA Medical Center in Ann Arbor, MI. He worked at the VA for 21 years when he retired and moved to Lake Tansi, TN. After spending 17 years there he moved to Zephyrhills, FL. Dannie is survived by his wife, Bonnie; daughters, Angela (Jim) Brockman, Claudene (Michael) Blake; step daughters, Jessica (Drew) Davis, Vanessa (Ralph) Lundy; and 8 grandchildren. Visitation will be 2-3 PM Wednesday, September 19 th at Hodges Family Funeral Home, Zephyrhills. A service will follow at 3 pm. Funeral Service
