Obituary

Dale Lee Stover, of Dade City, Florida, passed away peacefully at Brookwood Assisted Living, Hudson, FL, on Wednesday, January 11, 2023, after a brief illness.

He was born in West Salem, Illinois on November 8, 1934, to Ellis Pritchett and Mildred Irene (Walker) Stover. He is survived by his wife, Joanne Lucille (Shadley) Stover, whom he married in Galion, OH, on April 21, 1967; his brother James Stover and wife Deborah (Greifzu) Stover, sister-in-law, Phyllis (Quillen) Stover; daughters, Debra Jean (Stover) Yates, Leeann Stover and significant other Curt Wilson, Terri (Stover) and husband Robert Clark; and Joannes three daughters, Barbara (Beck) Pitts, Kathleen (Beck) West and Joyce (Beck) Seaman, that he raised as his own. He also leaves behind 15 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Donald Stover.

Dale was a hard worker and enjoyed working in his yard, tending to his flowers, feeding the birds, keeping his property nice; traveling until it became time to sell their RV. In his early years, he farmed, enjoyed fishing, camping, and hunting, and worked in oil fields. Dale and his wife, moved to Florida, from Ohio, in 1981, where he retired from the City of Zephyrhills Parks Department after 14 years of service. Dale took much pride in his family, job, and community and was very much loved by his family.
