Dale A. Koehnen 81, passed away June 2, 2015 in the comfort of hospice in Zephyrhills, FL with his loving wife, Mary by his side. Dale was born on May 18, 1934 in Chaska, MN to George and Katherine Koehnen who preceded him as well as his first wife, Ana Gonzalez and siblings, Leona, Mildred, Verna, Catherine, David and Lavalle. He entered the US Air Force in 1952 and retired honorably in 1972 as Chief Master Sargent. He worked for the US Post Office for 15 years following his military career. He enjoyed his lake home in South Haven, MN and was an avid fisherman. He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Koehnen; daughter, Maria Freidlund; step-daughters, Brenda Poalillo, Stacy Dalager, Emily Jessup and Carrie Roberts-Garvin; 15 grandchildren;7 great grandchildren as well as his siblings, Lois Bauer, Janie Lisle and George Koehnen. There will be a memorial service in Zephyrhills, FL as well as Waconia, MN to be announced at a later date, with burial at Fort Snelling, MN.
