Hammond, Dale Alexander, 70, of Zephyrhills, Florida, passed away the morning of September 18, 2021, in Zephyrhills, Florida. He was the husband of Sherry Hammond. Born in Clearwater, Florida and raised in Dunedin, Florida, Dale resided in Dunedin before moving to his residence in Zephyrhills, Florida, where he co-founded an Aluminum Contracting Company, Ace Aluminum. He later opened Aluminate Aluminum in Lake Alfred, Florida, where he remained until his retirement in 2015. Dale grew up with 7 siblings, 5 brothers and 2 sisters. He was raised Christian in a Pentecostal church in Dunedin (previously Dunedin Church of God). He was also a long-time member of Sonrise Church of God in Lakeland, Florida. Dale found his passion in singing and songwriting and eventually started a Christian Band, Turn Straight, with friends where he would minister regularly in public and church venues. He also spent his time ministering in the prisons as well as with the youth in detention centers. Dale was passionate about sharing the love of Christ with anyone he met. He was known for loving the ones who thought they were unlovable. Dale was known to give great advice and even though sometimes it was difficult to hear, he never made you feel like you were being judged. Dale valued spending time with his family; they were his greatest joy. He was an avid hunter and loved to ride motorcycles and dirt bikes. Most of the time Dale had a hilarious and sarcastic sense of humor. If you knew Dale you definitely felt loved and prayed over. Dale is reunited in heaven with his brother James Raymond Hammond; his mother Violet Zipancich Hammond; his father Oscar "Lucky" Leon Hammond; his brother Robert Hugh Hammond; and his sister Diane Violet Flanagan. Dale is survived by his wife Sherry Hammond; 4 siblings, Nada Hunt, Leon Hammond, Oscar Hammond and Charlie Hammond; 4 children, Dale Hammond (wife Holly), Denise Wallace, Chad Hammond (wife Mercedes), and Shawn Hammond; 11 grandchildren, Tracy Hammond, Xavier Hammond, Dale Hammond Jr., Mina Braswell, Kayli Linden, Austin Hammond, Chad Hammond Jr., Siara Hammond, Violet Hammond, Natalie Hammond and Bane Wallace; and 14 great grandchildren, Elaina Braswell, Kinsley Hammond, Maci Hammond, Kaila Hammond, Landon Braswell, Owen Linden, McKinley Hammond, Tatum Hammond, Ava Hammond, Presley Braswell, Maddox Hammond, Jaxton Hammond, Hadley Linden and Ameila Soto.
